About Samantha Vellozzi, LMFT
Anxiety and Eating Disorder Therapist for Women in Phoenix, AZ
Well, hello there!
Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve taken the step to begin therapy, and I’m honored to be a part of your journey toward healing and growth.
Hi, I’m Samantha — a Therapist for individuals…
Who are Doing a Lot, Feeling a Lot, and Wanting Something More
If you’re here, you may be someone who is used to holding a lot together. On the outside, you may appear capable, driven, and responsible — yet internally you might feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or unsure about the direction your life is taking. Anxiety, relationship stress, or struggles with food and body image can make it difficult to feel steady and confident, especially during major life transitions.
I specialize in providing online therapy for women and young adults navigating anxiety, identity changes, relationship challenges, and eating disorder or disordered eating concerns. My goal is to offer a space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and develop practical tools to feel more grounded in your daily life.
Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on meaningful change. Together, we work to better understand patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress while building skills to help you manage anxiety, reduce overthinking, and respond to stress with greater self-compassion.
My work integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with insight-oriented and values-focused exploration. Clients often begin to notice improvements such as feeling calmer in relationships, more confident in decision-making, less preoccupied with food or body concerns, and more connected to their sense of identity and purpose.
My Approach
I bring over seven years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a range of treatment settings, including schools, outpatient programs, and higher levels of care for eating disorders. This experience has shaped my understanding of how anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, and life stress can influence emotional wellbeing and coping patterns.
In addition to direct therapy work, I have been involved in program development, clinical outreach, and supporting families as they navigate mental health challenges. Today, my practice focuses primarily on women and young adults seeking online therapy for anxiety, relationship stress, eating disorder recovery, and major life transitions
Clinical Background
My Credentials
-
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over seven years of clinical experience supporting individuals and families navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, and disordered eating or eating disorder concerns. I provide online therapy for clients located in Arizona and California, offering a supportive and collaborative space for meaningful growth and lasting change.
-
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. My training included a strong focus on cultural diversity and identity development, which continues to inform my work supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
-
Alongside my clinical training, I bring a lived understanding of how anxiety, high expectations, and major life transitions can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. These experiences inform my compassionate and grounded approach, allowing me to support clients with both professional expertise and genuine empathy.
My Personal Philosophy
Healing is less about fixing and more about reconnecting with who you truly are beneath expectations, shame, or people-pleasing. You don’t need perfection — you need presence, support, and tools that actually help in the messy middle of life.
Change can feel uncertain, but you do not have to navigate it alone. With the right support, it is possible to feel calmer, more confident, and more aligned with the life you are creating.
If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to schedule a free consultation to explore whether working together feels like the right fit.
